Posada de Palacio

If l ever get back, this is the place to be.

Pros: I never had breakfast in the hotel. 3 min walk and you have breakfast with the locals. The area the hotel is in is fabulous. Anything under the sun from markets to beach about 15 min walk. Staff is VERY accommodating, loving it.

Cons: Nothing to fold, except the bathtub could do with some love.

We were so happy that we found this beautiful hotel for our trip.

Pros: The room was very spacious and clean, the hotel was so different with lots of quirky touches. It has a really lovely feel to it. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was 5 minute walk into the old town. We will definitely be visiting Sanlucar again and will look forward to staying at the hotel again.

Pros: Breakfast was fine, staff were brilliant. The bar wasn’t really a bar, it was a restaurant and the staff were clearly uncomfortable with people just having a drink. The restaurant was Michelin starred so that explains their approach. A facility to make tea or coffee in the room would have been great. BUT- the whole place has such a great faded grandeur ambience with lovely courtyards etc and the staff were all lovely in the hotel (the restaurant is a different enterprise)

A Hidden Gem - Rustic Charm - Perfect

Pros: This is by far one of the best places I have ever stayed. A total rustic charm and by far the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. A pipping hot power shower was very welcome along with a good continental breakfast. The whole place had character at every turn. Simply perfect.

Pros: Excellent location. Friendly staff. Lovely building.

Beautiful Palacio in a very quiet location. Rooms a bit tired. But overall very happy

Pros: Location was lovely but up a steep hill. The Palacio was impressive.

Cons: Would have liked a bottle of water in the room. Room was very tired. We did not receive a welcome initially from the afternoon staff.

Great stay in Sanlúcar

Pros: Beautiful old house, very atmospheric, Great patios . Room was comfortable and very spacious .

Fabulous location

Pros: We really liked the authenticity of the hotel, the gorgeous courtyards etc. The room was lovely and clean and fresh and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Cons: Maybe tea/coffee making facilities in the room?

Pros: The room was beautiful, like an old fashioned Spanish castle, quirky, loved it. A great patio area outside. We were lucky to find free parking across the road, otherwise there's free parking within a 10 minute walk.

Cons: We were in a ground floor room onto the street, noisy in the morning. The room was large but a bit stuffy, maybe the air con could be better. Really not much to complain about.

Pros: Posada de Palacio is an absolutely charming hotel, with stunning rooms and courtyards. Perfect location and parking directly opposite if space available. Have stayed here a couple of times and will always be the go to place in Sanlucar de Barrameda. El Espejo restaurant next door is also great.
