Gran Hotel Ciudad Del Sur

Convenient, comfortable and great value

Pros: The staff was lovely. We had good access to other areas. It was quiet and beds were great. The food was unexpectedly excellent. It’s not a luxury hotel for sure and I was hesitant about staying there but pleasantly surprised.

Overall Good, but not Luxury

Pros: Location is good but a little remote, car is must have, but 5 mins to local town. 10 to Cadiz. Clean hotel, standard continental but good...good selection. Room size generous. Swimming pool area is lovely!

Cons: Outlook is dated, lacks character. Room fridge totally inefficient. Random quirks....

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay. The pool facilities were great. We layed by the pool every day on the sun beds. The pool is nice and big. If you wanted to, you could do laps. Padel courts are available, but in this August heat, we didn't play. If you visit in a cooler month, it would be ideal. There is plenty of parking at the hotel. Cadiz is close by via car, we perfered saying out of the city so we could do day visits. You would need to have a car if you planned on staying here. Most things are a short drive.

Cons: The bed was alright, but you could feel the springs, and it made noise when we were sleeping. It's definitely not the worst mattress, but if you want a soft mattress, probably not the place for you. I also would have liked a kettle in the room to make tea and coffee.

Gran Cuidad Hotel

Pros: The hotel was lovely, with a great pool, lovely buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. It was clean with great air-conditioned rooms and it was just what we needed to see Cadiz which was only 15 minutes away.

Cons: Nothing nearby within walking distance, Puerto Real has some lovely restaurants but you have to drive 10 minutes. A lovely clean hotel it just lacked a bit of soul for me.

Clean room with good breakftast

Pros: The room was spacious and the breakfast was great. We enjoyed our stay just because of the room and breakfast.

Cons: We couldn't use the pool, because they open it at 10.30 am, which is after breakfast and close to the check-out time. The location is not perfect. It is good enough for parking but far away from the attractions in Cadiz.

Sehr gut

Pros: included fast and stable WIFI connection, in compare with other spanish hotel an excellent breakfast, comfortable bed not too soft, nice and firm, free parking, helpful and courteous staff

Cons: Nothing to complain on the hotel, only some guest don't know how to behave in a hotel

Pros: Location was ideal for our needs, staff very friendly.

Cons: We had dinner In the restaurant, staff were very nice. Food was ok but Part of the food wasn’t warm enough. And the meals did not come out together, there was four in our group, one meal came and was eaten, before two more meals came, then maybe 5 minutes later the last meal came out, that was poor timing and service by the chef!!

Pros: Staff were very helpful with choosing restaurants ordering taxis etc. Bar staff excellent.

Good value

Pros: The staff was very kind and the facilities were very good. I really recommend you to taste the restaurant food and the breakfast is good too. The pool location is amazing and the size of it is more than sufficient. Despite being an outdated hotel, it has everything you need (and more than that) for your stay. I really loved the hotel

Cons: The hotel is a bit old fashioned and some things are broken for all over the hotel
