Economical option for a base from which to explore the Cadiz area
Pros: Very correct and helpful staff. Good location for an evening of doing the rounds of local bars, full of local people. Very authentic. This is the real Spain, not tourist Spain. Comfortable bed and interesting furniture in the lobby area. There is a garden area too with palm trees. Parking is available in a parking area next to the hotel at a reasonable price for the day. As Cadiz is only half an hour away by car (or train) and accommodation there is often double the price, Jerez is a more economical way to see the Cadiz area. NOTE: as Jerez is where Sherry came from, you should definitely try the local varieties which range from the familiar to the far drier and exotic.
Cons: I can't think of anything concrete.

Pros: Staff are extremely pleasant, owner is lovely to talk to; and for a non native Spanish speaker they really try to work with you. Cleaner works around your schedule and is very accomodating. I originally booked a single room for two weeks and then a double room for the following two weeks. They upgraded me to the double room for the whole stay, which was much nicer for me. Highly recommend, the location is perfect and they have parking out the back for a decent price.

Great value old-school hotel experience.
Pros: Proper hotel with a reception - no annoying messages bugging me about when I am going to arrive. No English spoken, but that made it a proper experience - all in a very typical Andalucian building with inner courtyard. It's even possible to find overnight parking very close by on the street, despite this being within the 'old town'.
Cons: Just one thing. Like everywhere in Spain, I was sent scary, stress-inducing messages ahead of time demanding some sort of 'obligatory' online check-in. I was right to ignore this, because it turns out this could be done at reception, which was no surprise because that is the reason you HAVE a reception. If there is one thing getting on my nerves, it is messages giving me homework before my stay - maybe Gen Z thinks nothing of it, but the last thing I want when I've got important work or holidaying to do is to have to fill out forms on a screen. (Unless you're going to give me a discount for the work...?)

Good value for the money
Pros: Location is excellent and the safe carpark on the site is magnificent.
Cons: You can hear everything from other rooms and from the street. Take earplugs with you if you're a light sleeper :)

Pros: Great little hotel on the edge of Jerez old town. The family suite was huge and well equipped, with a sofa area, large TV and a Spa bath. There is secure parking around the back of the hotel.
