Parador de Cádiz

Excellent location

Pros: Good breakfast but coffee machine very slow. Room and bed very good

Cons: Outdoor pool not open

Comfortable. Functional. Good location. Cold

Pros: Quiet location. Lots of beach side cafes and bars nearby but most only had outside seating so in cold or wet weather it may be less restrictive . Bus stop outside the hotel. Many sea view rooms had a partially blocked view due to an ugly block of flats in the way. Our bedroom, with the bed positioned to see this view, was spacious & well appointed. Lovely bathroom area. Daily top up of bottled water. Good housekeeping. There were instructions on the wall about how to alter the air con/heating but it didn’t work & when we asked the porter he said no rooms were allowed to control the temp, so we had to ask reception, which we did and they altered it for us. 🥴.

Cons: It was a huge place with cavernous reception, bar, lounge, restaurant and breakfast rooms. It seemed designed for large gatherings of business people. Masculine decor. The staff were efficient but there was no softness to them or the ambiance of the place.

Pros: Lovely location right on the seafront with great views and a nice park next to the hotel Very friendly and helpful staff everywhere Very modern and clean parking under the hotel Excellent standard of food and service in the restaurants Very clean

Cons: Not a fan of the sliding glass door to separate the toilet from the rest of the room, would prefer a bit more privacy

Fabulous hotel in great location

Pros: Spacious room with fabulous view from balcony. Breakfast had a wonderful selection. Located close to bars, restaurants and all the sights in Cádiz. Parking on site was particularly useful travelling by motorcycle.

Cons: Tea/ coffee making in room would have been nice. Otherwise nothing else.

Good location for exploring the Historic centre and waterfront.

Pros: Very comfortable and clean apartment about 10 mins walk from the Historic center. Apartment contains most things that you need and has plenty of space for suitcases. Overall very pleased - just a few things that could be improved. Supermarkets within a few mins walk and lots of restaurants within 10 min walk.

Cons: The shower door doesn't quite fit well at the bottom and we found that water came out onto the floor meaning the bath mat got very wet. There didn't seem to be any way to stop this. A coffee machine would be a great addition instead of the Italian style Coffee maker which requires ground coffee beans and this is not something you want to buy for a short stay. Had to phone the number for the property on arrival as the door wouldnt open.

A wonderful place to stay in Cadiz

Pros: Location is superb. Ocean views are amazing. Hotel was spotless and staff were amazing.

We would not stay anywhere else when in Cadiz

Pros: From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The staff could not have been more pleasant or helpful.

Cons: The bathroom design is rather strange.

Lovely hotel, shame about the closed pool.

Pros: The room had an enormous bath and fantastic views. The food in the restaurant was excellent

Cons: I was very disappointed that the swimming pool is seasonal. Cold water swimming is increasingly popular and hotels would benefit from taking up this marketing opportunity. When I went to use the indoor spa I had to pay, and nearly didn't get access because I hadn't booked. Later in the week I stayed at the Malaga parador and used the outdoor pool which is free and open all year round
