Pros: Friendly staff, a good breakfast included and great value for money.

Cons: It needs a little more maintenance and TLC in the rooms.

Lovely hostel

Pros: Was pleasantly surprised at how welcoming it was. The cleanliness and how comfortable the beds and pillows were. Location wise, it was perfect

Tidy room in a superb location

Pros: Clean, quiet, spacious and tidy room with air conditioning. Location is perfect, only a couple of blocks from the famous places in the old town. Possibility to bring dogs (5 euros/dog) and rent an underground parking (10 euros). All in all, we were happy to stay there and will definitely return.

Cons: The parking is a couple of blocks from the hostal. The breakfast is very modest (coffee/tea, toast, butter, jam, juice), but it’s included in the price, so actually this is no complaint at all…

Pros: The property is located in a quiet cobblestoned street in the old town, a 10 minute walk from the train station. It has a several typical Andalucian features such as a central courtyard with a high skylight where breakfast is served, and a lovely water feature (with gently running water) in an alcove between the front door and the courtyard. It was a very pleasant place to stay and all the staff were very helpful and enthusiastic. In the surrounding streets and laneways there are countless tabernas and tapas bars. A standout was ATUVERA , a gastro taberna where you can dine in the middle of street under the gaze of the statue of local girl Lola Flores. The food was really memorable.

Cons: The shower curtain was too short to prevent water escaping onto the bathroom floor. The shower head had to be held by one hand to stop it projecting water at the shower curtain and then onto the floor. It needs to be fixed in place and directed away from the shower curtain. No hot water came out of the tap over the hand basin. Shaving in the shower (where there was plenty of hot water) is not ideal.

Great ambience, great staff, comfortable

Pros: I loved my stay! The only irritation was somewhat weaker wifi, but the warm-hearted attitude of staff made up for it - very cordial and attentive, helpful despite language bareer, I seldom feel quite as welcome. The building had a nice ambience to it, area felt safe, with plenty of dining and sight-seeing options a short walk away. The room was basic, but quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was included, it was also basic - toast (sweet or savory), instant coffee, orange juice from concentrate, ok for me. I would book again.
