Hostal Colón Don Miguel

Stayed 2 nights, comfortable and enjoyable.

Pros: Excellent location. Very traditional Spanish. Good facilities including free bottled water, tea/coffee making including cakes. Decor is traditional Spanish tiling.

Cons: I was on the 2nd floor. Missed not having a lift but what a stunning staircase.

Pros: The room was very tidy and properly cleaned every day. Free water bottles in the downstair fridge were a nice surprise.

Pros: It was a comfortable stay, and the location is really excellent, so close to everything. We walked from the train station to the hostal, and walked to all the places we wanted to see. There was no kettle in the room but there was a little refreshment corner on the ground floor with cold water, teabags, kettle and little cakes.

Cons: We were disturbed early one morning by a fellow guest who might have been drunk and made a lot of noise, but this was not really the hostal's fault. Hopefully it was a once-off, and guests will be more considerate in future.

Great central location in quiet street

Pros: Great location in a quiet street between Plaza San Juan and the cathedral. 15 minute walk from bus and train stations. Comfortable and good night sleep. Useful terrace to sit and enjoy the sun or night sky. Free water bottles and access to tea/coffee. Checkout at 12.00. Welcoming hosts. I would use the hostal again.

Cons: I can't find any fault.

Great staff and location

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Free coffee and tea and light snacks. Rooftop terrace. Small balcony off the bedroom. Close to the Cathedral area.

Cons: It was a little noisy outside at night even with the window closed. Fortunately I was on the first floor but I wouldn’t like to be on a higher floor carrying bags upstairs.

Very clean, good place to stay in a perfect location..

Pros: In the centre of Cadiz. Really clean, nice hostal. Friendly Eva and the man at the reception. Room was small but very OK with good, smallish bathroom, hairdryer. Nice dreams in the comfortable bed. Bedside lamp. Cool, quiet A/C. Little cute balcony. Very nice rooftop terrace/relaxing area.

Cons: TV with only Spanish channels. Having guests from around the world, I think it should have some international channels, slow WiFi. Would be nice to have a minibar but the room is too small.

Pros: It was a wonderful stay. The accommodation is close to the beach and the old town, making it very centrally located. The staff were very friendly — despite our train being delayed, we were able to check in late without any problems, and they even sent us explanatory videos to guide us through the process. The hostal itself was very charming. We had a balcony in our room, air conditioning, and there’s a rooftop terrace available for guests to use. Although our bathroom was located outside the room, it was only a couple of steps away and about the same size you’d expect from a private one. All in all, it was a beautiful stay — in fact, we ended up extending it by one more night, which was also easily arranged.

Pros: A beautiful, quiet and spotlessly clean little hostel with helpful staff. Great location.

Pros: Great location in the center of the old town near the train station. Nearby bars and restaurants. Owners nice, helpful, excellent contact.

Pros: Very nice Hostal. Very friendly, and clean. 5 star.
