A Unique Experience

Pros: We loved staying in the boat house; it’s comfortable, clean and in a great location. We enjoyed making meals and sitting on the porch. The estuary is beautiful, great for birdwatching, and the sunrises and sunsets were amazing to watch on the water. There’s a supermarket nearby and the boat houses are close to the old town in Puerto de Santa Maria, with good local and seafood restaurants (and a great pizza place even closer!). It’s a short walk away from the ferry to Cadiz town which costs four euros each way, and the train station is also a short taxi ride away. We’re hoping to return for longer some time soon as there’s more to see and do in this part of Spain.

Cons: The rocking of the boat may not suit everyone, but it was part of the unique experience for us. It was very quiet and peaceful while we were there, but if all the boat houses were full and depending on the other guests, that may not always be the case. Understandably, you can’t put toilet paper down the toilet (good to know). There was an occasional smell. The space is small but well fitted out.

Really pleasant calm quiet unique place to stay, well situated for the town.

Pros: The boat house inside was really comfortable and all new and very clean. Bed was comfy. We slept very well. It is only 5 minutes walk to town for restaurants and bars. El Puerto is a lovely historical town.

Cons: The outdoor furniture on the roof was all broken damaged and in an unuseable dirty condition it had been left out all winter I presume and MDF table had collapsed obviously cheapest furniture the owner could buy not suitable for outdoor use. The rattan furniture had all split. It was very strange as so much attention was paid to the interior lovely bedding etc. I would return as I'm hoping this was a start of the season glitch and they intend replacing the roof terrace furniture. It was a unique experience and we loved El Puerto.

Increíble puesta de sol

Pros: 2 semanas después , aún seguimos recordando los momentos vividos allí. Una fantástica relación con el paisaje, la puesta de sol desde la terraza mientras la mar te mece no tiene precio. Muy recomendable.

Cons: Podría mejorarse la limpieza y la comodidad a la hora de dormir.

Pros: Expérience très sympathique, bien placé pour les visites mais voiture recommandée. Logement conforme aux photos et descriptions.

J'ai adoré

Pros: Cette expérience fut excellente. Il est vrai que nous avons eu la chance d'avoir un bateau où le soleil donnait le soir (nous étions en février) et surtout une vue sur les oiseaux. D'autre bateau avait une vue loins bonne de la terrasse. En revanche lorsqu'il fait plus beau ou chaud, il est possible de monter sur le toit poir admirer la vue. Tout est bien pensé dans ce bateau.

Cons: J'ai tout apprécié mais je mets en garde ceux qui loueraient alors que le temps annonce une mer agitée, je dis cela par rapport au bruit des corsages qui couinent. Par beau temps c'est le calme et une vraie berceuse

Pros: La atención de Michael fue genial, muy atento a todos los detalles. Está muy bien equipado. Lo recomiendo totalmente.

Experiencia con niños estupenda

Pros: La experiencia genial, ubicación perfecta, además con enseres básicos como café, aceite ....

Adorável experiência

Pros: Foi uma adorável experiência de ficar em um barco. O clima estava agradável e deu para desfrutar de um jantar ao lafo de fora (sacada) O barco pouco balançou. Tudo funcionou perfeitamente. Roupa de cama e banho limponhos Bom lugar para parar o carro, enfrente ao posto de saúde e de frente a marinna

Cons: Precisa de uma limpeza mais cuidadosa na cozinha, na louça. As pessoas passavam fazendo muito barulho na passagem dos barcos

Pros: Toda una experiencia el dormir sobre una casa flotante! Muy completa, buena ubicación y cómoda.
