Great place to in Jerez

Pros: The location and quirkiness of the building. The lovely sweet treats that were left in the rooms. We went on a tour of the palace provided by the Count and his brother. The house had an impressive history with lots of beautiful objets and furnishings. We arrived on a rainy day but could imagine how it would be on a beautiful sunny day in the summer.

Cons: Rooms were a little bit dated.

Pros: Unique location, in the centre of Jerez. Beautiful rooms and garden. The list of recommendations was the most comprehensive I have received from a host!

Cons: Nothing not to like!

A taste of historic splendour

Pros: The history of the building and the family. The personal welcome and the gifts in the room that made us feel so welcome. The location meant we were a short walk from all of the places we wanted to visit in Jerez. The visit around the museum itself, made staying at Virrey Laserna even more special!

Cons: Because this isn't a traditional hotel, there are not all of the traditional facilities you usually get (eg.a safe, a fridge, air conditioning). But if you understand where you are staying, these things didn't matter to us.

Pros: Wonderful, historical palace in an excellent location. Well-appointed, comfortable rooms and gracious hosts.

Cons: Limited facilities and communal spaces.

Our stay in Jerez

Pros: Great location, fascinating Palace and grounds.... perfect hosts..

Cons: Could be better with a room fridge for drinks. .

Opportunity to stay in an old Palace.

Pros: Great location with amazing history. The bedroom was incredible with all the old original furniture. The Marquis himself took us on a tour of the Palace. Very interesting. Loved the swimming pool & loungers in the garden. Air conditioning was welcome.

Cons: Only drawback was no fridge in the room which would have been good as it was so hot .

Pros: Location in the City is great and the tour of the Palace on arrival by our host was very informative. Lots of great places nearby to see and very good restaurants (and Cafe) nearby to keep you fueled and watered during your stay.

Pros: The caracter , the history of the place , the furniture

Cons: I liked everything, the only thing that needed a bit of attention was the shower, but still functional . I would say if you can, go for the bigger rooms , are more comfortable. I ve stayed in one last year and in a smaller one this year . It’s better to have a view when you wake up in the morning

Wonderful and unique experience.

Pros: The tour of the Palacio, free to guests, is an absolute essential. The accommodation consists of rooms in one part of the building. While clean and comfortable, the bed especially so, the furnishings are old. This is not a hotel per se and if you are not interested in the fascinating history of the Palacio you may well be happier in more conventional accommodation. We loved it! Our thanks to Alvaro and Asis for allowing us into their beautiful home.

Cons: Some people may find the stairs to the rooms a problem if mobility is an issue. Our host was very happy to help with our luggage.
